Abstract
This research examines the concept of the heart in the Noble Quran through a comprehensive thematic study aimed at revealing the diverse meanings and profound implications of the heart's concept within the Quranic text. This study investigates the various contexts in which the term "heart" and its derivatives appear in the Noble Quran, analyzing the spiritual, intellectual, and emotional functions that the Quran attributes to the heart.
What are the linguistic and terminological connotations of the heart in the Noble Quran? How does the Quran portray the heart as a center for faith and disbelief? What is the relationship between the heart and the mind in the Quranic perspective? How does the Quran address heart diseases and their treatment? What are the characteristics of a sound heart in light of Quranic teachings?
The research concludes that the Noble Quran presents a comprehensive conception of the heart as the center of human consciousness and the locus of faith and piety, and that the heart in the Quran is not merely a physical organ but rather a spiritual concept that encompasses mind, soul, and emotion together. The study also demonstrates that the Quran links the righteousness of the heart to the righteousness of conduct, and that purification of the heart is the ultimate goal of Islamic education.
