الملخص

AbstractThe Moon, Earth’s only natural satellite, is located in near-Earthspace and revolves both on its own axis and around the Earth. Dueto its proximity to Earth, the Moon has long been a subject of interestfor scholars in the field of geography. Its closeness, its observablemotions from the human perspective, and the history of humanexploration have given it a unique appeal for study and analysis. Thepurpose of this article is to examine the types of motions the Moonexhibits and the effects it produces on Earth. The research methodemployed is descriptive-analytical. The findings indicate that, likeother celestial bodies, the Moon engages in various motions, including rotation on its own axis (axial rotation), revolution aroundEarth (orbital motion), and the joint Earth–Moon revolution aroundthe Sun. These motions produce observable effects on Earth, suchas solar and lunar eclipses, tides, and the lunar phases, whichhumans can directly witness. Keywords: Lunar phases, Tides, Lunar motion, Lunar eclipse, Solareclipse, Moon.
