Abstract
Forests, as one of the main resources of ecotourism, are very important for attracting nature-loving tourists and those interested in outdoor activities. The forest ecotourism industry helps to preserve and restore the natural resources of countries and indirectly has significant outcomes, including increasing domestic production and generating income for locals. Forests, by creating public spaces with diverse facilities and natural beauty, help improve the quality of life for citizens and tourists and contribute to the preservation of natural resources and the urban environment. The aim of this research is to inform the new generation about the role of forests in the ecotourism industry and their economic value. This study, using credible national and international sources, has been analyzed in an explanatory-analytical manner, concluding that forests, in addition to other factors, play a central and fundamental role in the development and expansion of ecotourism in a region and have a direct impact on economic, cultural, and social conditions.
