الملخص

Abstract

This article introduces Abu Muzahim Khāqāni and examines the impact of his qasida (poem) on the development of the science of Tajweed. It also explores the efforts of scholars before Imam Abu Muzahim (may Allah have mercy on him), aiming to analyze and evaluate their contributions. Ultimately, this study investigates the influence of his qasida on various scientific fields using historical, analytical, and descriptive methods. The findings of this research indicate that Abu Muzahim was one of the key figures in the fields of Tajweed, Qira’at (Quranic recitations), and Hadith, significantly contributing to the formation and consolidation of the science of Tajweed. Furthermore, he was the first scholar to author an independent work in this field, titled Al-Qasida Al-Khaqāniyya. Although scholars of Arabic grammar, lexicology, and morphology made valuable efforts in discussing different aspects of this science, their contributions were unstructured and did not lead to the independent authorship of a book specifically on Tajweed. This study also confirms that the beginning of authorship in the science of Qira’at cannot be considered the beginning of authorship in the science of Tajweed, as there is a fundamental difference between the two disciplines.
