چکیده

In this research article، the concept of the free morpheme in Pashto grammar, particularly the structure، types، characteristics، and syntactic role of the noun, is examined in a scholarly manner. A free morpheme is the smallest linguistic unit that carries meaning and can function independently. The noun is considered the most important type of free morpheme، playing a fundamental role in the structure of the language.         This study explores the structural aspects of nouns (simple، compound، and derived)، their types (proper، common، collective، abstract، and concrete)، and their syntactic roles within a sentence (subject، object، genitive، and adverbial functions) in detail. Furthermore، the use of nouns is clarified through various examples. The findings indicate that the noun is not only a crucial means of conveying meaning but also plays an essential role in the structure of sentences.
