Contributions of Badakhshan Scholars and Scientists to Islamic Sciences and the Arabic Language

Abstract

This article introduces prominent figures from Badakhshan and Takhar Ulya who have made significant contributions to Islamic sciences and the Arabic language. The importance of this topic lies in the fact that, according to the author, this research is the first systematic attempt to collect information about these figures. It is hoped that this effort will pave the way for broader research on other Afghan scholars who have contributed to these fields. To date, no book or article has comprehensively explored the contributions of Badakhshan's scholars to Islamic sciences and the Arabic language. This article employs a descriptive-analytical method, utilizing library resources and relying on ma'ajim (encyclopedias) and biographical accounts, especially Arabic sources, to gather information. The findings show that great scholars from Badakhshan have played a significant role in advancing Islamic sciences and the Arabic language. The conclusion of this research emphasizes the importance of these contributions and the need for further in-depth studies in this field.
