الملخص

 Abstract
The term “translation” originates from the Arabic language,
referring to the transfer of meaning from one language to another,
and also implies narrating someone's biography, ethics, or lineage.
The plural form in Pashto is “( ”ژباړېtranslations). Technically,
translation refers to the process of finding precise and closest
possible equivalents for the words and concepts of a source language
in the target language, without altering the original intent of the
author and preserving the knowledge it conveys. Translation plays
a critical role in enriching a language both scientifically and
literarily. A rich language is one in which the intellectual and literary
contributions of all fields are accessible—something that is largely
unattainable without translation. It is, in fact, the most effective
medium for transferring scientific, intellectual, literary, and social
content across linguistic boundaries. Through translation, various
languages of the world benefit from each other's artistic values and
fulfill each other’s literary needs as much as possible. Translation is
an art and a skill that enables the transmission of meaning, messages,
information, and knowledge from one language to another. In short,
academic and literary translation is a vital necessity for any society,
and to overlook this need is a sign of backwardness. Today, the
Pashto language requires the adoption of new ideas and experiences
from other languages and cultures through translation.
This study, while adhering to the principles of academic writing,
includes key questions, discussion, conclusions, and references. It
aims to clarify the significance and value of translation. Without
translation, progress in intellectual, scientific, and literary domains
is virtually impossible, as translation remains the most effective
means of communication across cultures.
