الملخص

 Abstract
The Snow Leopard Panthera is one of the rare and endangered
animals in Afghanistan, especially in Wakhan National Park. With
its white skin and dark brown spots, the animal adapts well to its
cold and mountainous environment and plays an important role in
the balance of the ecosystem. This research uses qualitative and
quantitative methods, library and field studies, living conditions,
ecosystems, life cycle, reproduction ،diet and features of the snow
leopard in Wakhan National Park. The findings suggest that the
snow leopard population in the area is not at risk of decline due to
several factors, including the prohibition of poaching, the increase
of natural prey, and the lack of location degradation. However, the
conflict between humans and snow leopards that leads to an animal
attack on domesticated livestock poses a serious threat to the
survival of this species. Satellite tracking and imaging studies with
hidden cameras have shown that snow leopards are scattered at
altitudes between 3,500 and 4,500 meters, and that there are suitable
areas for their habitat in Wakhan National Park Emphasizing the
need for cooperation between the government, local communities
and environmental protection organizations.
