Sustainable tourism, as one of the important development approaches, plays a key role in creating a balance between economic growth, environmental protection, and the improvement of the social conditions of local communities. Bamyan Province, due to its natural, historical, and cultural attractions, has great potential for the development of sustainable tourism; however, these potentials have not been fully utilized. The aim of this study is to identify and analyze the most important challenges of sustainable tourism development in Bamyan Province and to provide a better understanding of existing obstacles and the improvement of this sector. The research method is descriptive and library-based, and data were collected and analyzed through scientific sources, articles, and related documents.
